V závěru léta 2019 se malá česko-kanadská expedice pokusila o sjezd obtížně dosažitelné ledovcové řeky Alsek na území Kanady a Aljašky. Záměrem filmu je odvyprávět příběh této vodácké expedice, spojené s pohybem v prostředí neobvyklé a drsné krásy. Ukázat divákům obrazy míst, do kterých se mohou dostat jen velmi těžko, a pomoci pochopit motivaci lidí, kteří si bez podobných akcí nedovedou svůj život představit. Jejich motivací není touha po ocenění ani po výkonu, ale konfrontace sama sebe v extrémně nepříznivém a náročném prostředí.
At the end of summer of 2019, a small Czech-Canadian expedition tried to descend the difficult-to-reach Alsek Glacier River in Canada and Alaska. The intention of the film is to tell the story of this boating expedition, associated with movement in an environment of unusual and harsh beauty. To show viewers images of places they can find very hard to reach and help them understand the motivations of people who can´t imagine their lives without such events. Their motivation is not a desire for appreciation or performance, but a confrontation of themselves in an extremely unfavorable and demanding environment.
