Director Biography

In 2010, his first documentary film “Invincibles” is an international success and is nominated in many festivals. Laurent received the award for “Best First Film” at St Lary Soulan Freeride Film Festival in 2010 and was nominated in the category “Best Documentary” at the IF3 in Montreal.In 2011, he followed his friend Thibaud Duchosal to try to learn more abou t the personality of this atypical big mountain skier. The result is a series of four episodes and a film which are also successful internationally. The film “Eye of the Storm” won the award for “Best Film of the Year” at the Danish Adventure Film Festival in Copenhagen in December 2012.In 2013, his documentary film “Rise” won the “Audience Award” at Freeride Film Festival of Cauterets but also the award for” Best Action Movie of the Year “at the Danish Adventure Film Festival.In the winter of 2014, he focuses on the Olympic Winter Games and directs “For My People,” a 52-minute documentary, produced by PVS Company, on the unusual life of Marie Martinod who ends up winning Olympic silver medal at Women’s ski halfpipe.In spring 2014, he moved to Greenland for filming his first feature film: Sedna, a story that has its roots in the Inuit mythology. In October 2015, Sedna won the “Best Film of the Year” Award at Milan Mountain Film Festival in Italia.In October 2014, it is in Patagonia he poses his bags for shooting an adventure film: Southern Tales.
